Peter Costello is a writer, critic and editor, who also acts as Honorary Librarian of the Central Catholic Library in Dublin. He is the author of over 30 books, and for the Eucharistic Congress he published with The Irish Catholic a new edition of G. K Chesterton’s Christendom in Dublin about the 1932 congress. Well-known here and abroad as a Joyce expert, he is the author of James Joyce the Years of Growth and co-author of John Stanislaus Joyce, a biography of Joyce’s father. His most recent book, Conan Doyle Detective, has been translated into French and Spanish.
